Move your Typeform to trulyform
You’ve already written the questions. Keep your head start. Paste the public link to your Typeform, and trulyform turns it into an editable draft with your questions, answer choices and question images in place. Review it, make it yours, and publish when you’re ready.
Your Typeform stays exactly as it is. Nothing is deleted, and you don’t need to connect your Typeform account.
Want to see how trulyform feels first? Open a template in the real editor. No account needed. Then come back and bring your Typeform over.
Updated . Comparing the products first? See the Typeform alternative, or Typeform vs. Tally.
Before you start
- A trulyform account. Importing needs a free account (trying templates doesn’t). Create one; no credit card.
- Your Typeform’s public link. The form must be published so the link opens for anyone. It usually looks like
https://yourname.typeform.com/to/AbC123. - Your past responses, if you need them. Responses stay in Typeform. Export them there first if you want a copy.
How to import your Typeform, step by step
-
01
Copy your Typeform’s public link
In Typeform, open the form you want to move and copy its share link. Open it in a private browser window to make sure it loads without logging in.
-
02
Paste it into trulyform
In trulyform, go to Import a Typeform (https://trulyform.com/app/form-imports/create) and paste the link. trulyform reads the published form and creates a new draft. Your questions, answer choices, question images and theme colors come across.
-
03
Review anything that’s flagged
If something couldn’t be brought over exactly (a question type, a logic rule, an extra ending, or an image), the importer flags it for you. Open the draft in the editor and check those items first.
-
04
Make it yours
This is where it gets fun. In the editor you can:
- Pick a theme (Paper, Midnight or Warm), then set your brand colors, choose a font (Inter, Georgia or System) and adjust the corner radius
- Reorder questions, change question types, and set required fields. Moving is a good time to trim, so here is how many form fields to ask.
- Add follow-ups with logic: show a question only when it fits, jump ahead, or calculate a score or price
- Preview on desktop and mobile
-
05
Test your flow
Run through the form yourself. Try each branch, especially anything that used logic in Typeform. A trulyform form has one ending, so check that it reads well at the end of every path.
-
06
Publish and update your links
Click Publish to get your trulyform link. Then swap it in wherever the old form lived: your website embed, email signatures, social bios, QR codes. When you’re happy, you can close the Typeform version.
What transfers and what doesn’t
| Comes across | Needs your review | Stays in Typeform |
|---|---|---|
| Questions | Question types trulyform doesn’t support (left out; flagged) | Past responses (export them from Typeform) |

| Question images | Picture choices (labels come across without their images; flagged) | Your Typeform account, plan and settings |
| Theme colors | Extra endings: a trulyform form has one ending, so only the first comes across (flagged) | Payments (trulyform doesn’t support payment questions) |
| Your welcome screen and first ending | Fonts other than Inter, Georgia or System (replaced with Inter) | |
| Your logo (copied on Business; flagged on Free and Pro) | ||
| Videos and other media that couldn’t be copied (flagged) |
trulyform question types (17): short text, long text, email, phone, number, date, single choice, dropdown, multiple choice, consent, NPS, opinion scale, ranking, matrix, file upload, statement, website.
Reconnecting your tools: trulyform connects to Google Sheets, Google Drive, Slack, HubSpot, Notion and Airtable, plus webhooks for everything else. Set these up again after you publish.
How the plans compare
We think trulyform gives you more room on a small budget, and we also think it’s worth being clear about where Typeform does more.
Free plans
| Free plan | trulyform Free | Typeform Free |
|---|---|---|
| Responses per month | 100 | 10 |
| Logic | Yes | Yes |
| Colors & fonts | Your colors, plus Inter, Georgia or System | Yes (templates, images, color palette) |
| CSV export | Yes | Yes |
| File uploads | Yes, 10 MB storage | Paid plans only |
Paid plans (USD, billed monthly)
| trulyform | Price | Responses / mo | Typeform | Price | Responses / mo |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $12 | 2,000 | Basic | $39 | 100 |
| Business | $29 | 10,000 | Plus | $79 | 1,000 |
| No further trulyform plan in this row | Business | $129 | 10,000 |
Billed yearly, trulyform Pro is $120 a year. Typeform’s yearly plans are billed yearly, shown as $28/mo (Basic), $56/mo (Plus) and $91/mo (Business).
Responses are counted differently, so these numbers aren’t an exact like-for-like. trulyform counts a response when its first nonempty answer is saved, even if the person doesn’t finish. Typeform Free counts submitted responses. On trulyform, Pro and Business also let you see and export those unfinished responses.
Where Typeform does more today: payments in forms, a much larger integration library (including Salesforce), team roles and permissions, question drop-off reports, and custom domains. If you depend on those, Typeform is likely the better fit for now. trulyform is built for lead forms, quote requests, client intake, surveys and feedback, when you want more responses for your budget.
Typeform figures from Typeform’s pricing page and Free plan help article. Those Typeform pages were last checked on October 26, 2026; this guide was updated on October 26, 2026. Typeform notes it sometimes experiments with pricing, so you may see different plans in your account. Add-ons excluded. trulyform is independent of Typeform.
Bonus: let your AI assistant tidy it up
Imported forms are regular trulyform forms, so if you connect an AI assistant through trulyform’s MCP server (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others), you can ask it to review your imported form, for example to “split any question that asks two things at once and suggest clearer wording.” It saves changes as a draft; nothing goes live until you publish. Learn about MCP, or follow Create a form with Claude or ChatGPT.

Still curious? Send us a note or email support@trulyform.com.
Do I need to connect my Typeform account?
No. You only paste the public link to a published form.
Will my Typeform be changed or deleted?
No. The importer only reads the published form. Your Typeform stays as it is until you decide to close it.
Do my past responses come over?
No. Historical responses stay in Typeform. Export them there if you want a copy.
Do I need an account to import?
Yes, a free trulyform account. If you just want to try the editor first, open any template; no account is needed for that.
What if my form uses logic?
The importer flags logic it couldn’t carry over exactly. Check those rules in the editor and test every branch before publishing.
Can I import more than one form?
Yes. Import them one link at a time, as many as you need. Every trulyform plan includes unlimited forms.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. Free is an ongoing plan with 100 responses a month, logic, your own colors, a choice of three fonts, and CSV export. No credit card.
